What's next? No more lumber/timber industry?

They've all but killed that already. We import a lot of lumber while our mature trees fall and rot.

I read somewhere once that a decaying tree on the ground releases more greenhouse gases then if you burned the thing in a fireplace. If accurate perhaps someone ought to go after these green whack jobs with that line of lawsuit.

And the unions support these people...amazing.

The Republicans have done far more over the years for the working man then the Democrats. Yet unions reflexively support Dem's. Jews are supported by R's far more then D's, they voted overwhelmingly for the One and yet if he isn't an anti Semite he is damn close to it and nominates some real whoppers to his cabinet, yet Jews vote D. R's are the party of civil rights with the Klan being basically a Democratic organization back then. D's fought civil rights to the bitter end, yet blacks vote overwhelmingly D.

You ever figure this one out be sure and clue me in because voting against your own self interest makes so little sense it almost seems a mental illness.

Old Chinese proverb: May you live in interesting times.

These next couple of years are going to be very interesting. Whole industries might disappear - Detroit, mining, lumber; How about the iron ore mines? What are they going to build the wind farms and solar panels out of?

If the greenies are successful, life will be very different. But thanks to Algore, we won't have to worry about the problem of heating the house during the cold winters because they won't be cold anymore. A few solar panels on the roof will take care of the frig, TV, computer and lights. Toasters, microwaves and things that require a little more juice can wait for the really sunny days.

Good thing you have a big backyard. You can grow your own veggies - aren't you sorry you cut down those orange trees? You've even got room for a compost pile.

And don't waste water. I remember during one of our droughts a few years back that Farrah Fawcet suggest that you keep pails next to the shower and fill it up with the water you run before the hot water gets there. Then use that to fill the toilet and wash the dishes - or water your veggies.

And don't waste gas - ride your skateboard to the store.

Watch the new industries that will be born out of this, especially in California - you'll be able to have your own cannabis farm and make your own clothes.

See, it's not so bad.
