Now here is another brain twister, Bernanke comment on his latest prediction, contained in a TSR commentary.
<<Meanwhile, Fed Chairman Bernanke said yesterday that if the government can
stabilize the financial markets then there's a good chance that the
recession will end later this year, and that 2010 will be a period of growth.
But Bernanke was not at all confident about his prediction,
however, and joked that his record for forecasting the unfolding
recession has been about as poor as the performance of the
Washington Nationals, the worst team in Major League baseball.

Bernanke does not crack a lot of jokes, so when he resorts to black
humor one has to wonder what's the count on Mighty Casey: 3 balls and 2 strikes?
