Edwin, I think the reason Minoxidil is so cheap is because it doesn't work. When it first hit the market is was about 100$. It never did anything for the patients I prescribed it to and even the pharmaceutical reps for Upjohn are not impressed with it. Proscar may work but I am concerned about the side effects in younger men. I think a good solution to this problem is a hair transplant. It's expensive but it's permanent. When IOM goes up you'll have extra $$$ for this. SR
