Verbal jujitsu? I consider it just a matter of whether words mean what they say. Get off oil ought to mean getting off oil, not cutting down a little year by year over decades. Of course in the last post of yours I responded to you said the oil (and gas) industry was going to be withering and dying in a few years unable to compete with wind and solar, so its hard to know if even you know what it is you mean by what you say. Now we're only to become self-sufficient in oil (and gas and petrochemicals) over decades.

But of course you like to take absolutes and do your verbal jujitsu.

I think the words we use should have absolute meanings and not shift dramatically from post to post. Silly me.
