Jeff,

I haven't been maintaining short positions in anything, I have just been following the RS, Acc/Dis and PE in my own spreadsheet for a while. It is only now that things are starting to look promising to actually consider shorting. My list is the same as what John has, I just keep track of additional things like PE, estimated annual growth rate, etc. I just noticed that the high PE stocks that show signs of weakness are the ones that actually falter when the market starts to go against them. The others don't have the same kinds of movement.

I use the RS, Acc/Dis values to find candidates to track. I don't actually follow Henry blindly. I use PEs, my knowledge of the company, their fundamentals, their markets etc before I actually do shorts.

I wish you had told me when you started shorting MIND though, it's up again, but that fall from 29 was a little unsettling. I should have taken my profits then. On the other hand I've been in it for a while and intend to be for a little longer, so I shouldn't worry about dips now and then . . .
