I don't favor abortion, as you know. But right now it is a legal, personal decision. Until the law changes, that is the way it is.

I also know the majority of american voters agree with that position. The democrats are in complete power party because of that fact, although the economy far and away drove recent results.

As you continue to pound your chest with your moral righteousness, your party gets smaller. Pretty soon you and the true believers will have provided no room in the republican party for anybody who does not pledge to exactly your social conservative mantra. Fine. Count heads. That party won't win any elections outside of the South.

Calling people names and acting like you are the toughest guy on the block doesn't win people over. Perhaps you enjoy being the one-eyed king in the land of the blind. You are well on your way.

Read the Polls. If the republicans don't start looking forward and stop the litmus test nonsense. If Michael Steele can't hold a personal opinion different than the party plaform on any subject without getting torn apart, your big tent just gets smaller. Soon, a pup tent.

But then all party members will be able to hear you....
