TidyWhitey, you have spent your adult life occupied in the military. It was primarily NOT to protect people but to EAT and have a roof over your head. Are you actually trying to peddle the idea that you were working lo these many decades for free? Really? Got a rich pension? Jeepers. Cops do not protect people from criminals, you guys are always there after the fact not before it. I would much rather put taxpayer money into PREVENTION not PROSECUTION AFTER THE FACT. The first is a good thing, the second is failure. You have the situation completely mixed up. The US taxpayer, we, are the hands that feed you and not the other way around. Your comments show that you have become so enmeshed in the culture of copdom that you think you are king and we are your subjects. That is dangerous and is also why the situation in the article I posted is so very common. You can read about that kind of thing everyday. You are paranoid. You think in terms of us and them. This situation has become ever more perverted since the rampant militarization of copdom. Get out of your twofer squad cars and WALK THE NEIGHBORHOOD BEAT ALONE ON FOOT. Not only is this a good thing physically it is what prevents problems from happening in the first place. You are completely paranoid. You are so paranoid that you have managed to spend your entire adult life armed to the teeth against your fellow citizens. What kind of a life is that? It is quite sad really. Go out and get a job in the real world. You are the one who has admittedly lived, what, some 40-50 years in the self-congratulatory fantasyland of copdom. It isn't the real world Tidy. Most of us live out here...in the sunshine.
