Thanks Atin, Martin and Debra, enjoyed reading your posts. Here is my 2c: I think we are playing in a very hot sector and there will be many winners. I rarely share my investment info, but this bit will help make the point. I bought FTEL, VOCLF, IDTC, NSPK all on the same day back in August. Guess what? Here is what they've done so far:

FTEL +105.50%
NSPK +69.09
VOCLF +27.22%
IDTC +24.41%

They keep outracing one another, NSPK was doing better (percentage wise) than FTEL for a while. I can't say which is (are) my prefered one(s). All the competitive analysis that I can do will not give me the answer. Time will tell. Meanwhile, instead of getting into religous wars, why not get them all?

Atin, do I understand you work at NMSS? This is one I've missed on (along with INTL). Can you say who else has bought into your products? I'm heading to INTL and NMSS next.

Go Frank, Go FTEL.

Debra,

Thanks for the post. I jumped into FTEL sooner than I wanted. I was going to take all month to study it, but the price started rocketing up too quickly and ... I closed my eyes, held my nose and ... JUMPED! Posts like this make me feel more confident that there's water in the pool.

I'll continue to study ... the more I look, the more I like, so far.

It seems too easy to me ... but I'm really just standing on the shoulders of all you folks that've done the real work. Thanks again. Bob.

Hi Debra,

You are right, FTEL isn't a one pony show at all. It just happens that IP telephony is my interest and that is what made me first notice it. You are also right in that the competition has largely ignored FTEL. I am very sure NMSS has (though FTEL is on our web page as a partner, I haven't been able to find anyone in my company who can tell me what they do with us).

Basically the future looks bright for FTEL, and my only comment till now about the Tempest has been that it looks similar to our product (which is good really, because I think our product is good). About the other products I have no idea and will not attempt to talk about them.

FTEL seems to have a lot of experience in the datacom world and this will help FTEL in entering the IP telephony world. I have almost totally only been investing in the VoIP space recently and FTEL seems to be a good 'un.

>>...but as far as I can see at this point the only close competition to Franklin is IDTC and that I have no problem with either.<<<

FWIW- Have you checked AlphaNet Telecom, Inc.? PT Indostat just invested $C35 million. CEO from Teleglobe.
