It "saves them money" to continue SENDING 100% of the taxes that they owe to the federal government... while REJECTING federal transfer payments directed to them? So that the transfer payments then go to other States? LOL, how does that cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face decision "save them money" as their State's economy lingers in the throws of deep recession? (Sounds more to me like the Gov is just selling his particular state down the river during the worst recession since the nineteen thirties just so he can position himself to run for his Party's Presidential nomination in 2012....) Here I'll go out on a limb and predict that it works about as well for him as the Macaca slur did for Allen. <g>
