On the contrary, the article discusses the difficulties and tradeoffs involved in substituting biofuels for oil as well as the negative impact of higher taxes on domestic production of oil, which (domestic oil production) you've claimed to favor.

That is demand destruction Substitution and demand destruction aren't the same thing conceptually.
