The military, including the domestic one, is not a good way for people to live their lives. It is corrosive.

Cops have a very high suicide rate in comparison to the general public. I suspect they also have a high rate of domestic abuse, child abuse, alcoholism and drug abuse.

It is an unnatural state to be in conflict all day everyday. It should be a rotating profession of volunteers instead of a lifetime commitment to paranoia and violence.
