At this point there is just about zero evidence, esp. if by "work" you mean in terms of real economic well being rather than measured stats, and you mean more than for the short term.

What do you think about the fact that Obama, Volcker, GM, and Citibank have all said in the last 24 hours that the economy is not as bad as first thought? If anything.

There is considerable evidence to the contrary..........that the stimulus will work.

At this point there is just about zero evidence, esp. if by "work" you mean in terms of real economic well being rather than measured stats, and you mean more than for the short term.

First of all, your argument is illogical. You build projects; jobs are created. If you extend unemployment benefits; people are able to buy more things. You finance research projects; more jobs are created.

Corporations are retrenching....cutting jobs and inventory, reducing spending. If gov't follows their lead like what happened under Hoover, more jobs will be lost.

Your illogic will only make things worse. Dump your ideology and you start thinking more clearly.
