Actually, when it comes to finance, economics, and accounting, I think I probably know more than most. That's the world I lived in for two decades before I switched careers. In fact, my family is stuffed full with the same types. So these issues are at the top of our debate list. My brother's a partner at a national corporate law firm with intricate ties to the financial industry and we've had very in depth discussions about all of this. Lastly, I have advanced degrees in this very industry.

So don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I just have a very different idea than you do about what the root causes were and what the impacts have been. I'd say I'm a heck of a lot less ideologically predisposed than you are as well. I don't cling to one party ideology like you do. I simply evaluate ideas from any party and make my own decisions based on all my education, training, and industry knowledge.

The facts are that much of what you and I were taught about GOP market ideology has turned out to have been a failure. It's time for new ideas or at least a rebalancing to get back to the center on our economic agenda. It's clear the far left and far right have screwed things up badly for all of us.
