If they're not in the poor house when this is all over, there is something wrong with America.

I went into a Asset Protection Trust in the nineties.

It was a Ponzi scheme too and for about five years I got great interest and my original five hundred thousand dollars had climbed to eight hundred. I lost everything and nothing was made of this scheme although I had friends who lost more.

My sister cashed in all her Walmart for the two hundred fifty she put in.

It was insured by Moody's and approved by the SEC and all.

I still cannot write off the loss against selling a home or anything as it's been tied up in litigation for years and years. Once in awhile a check for five thousand comes in. The lawyers are getting the most. I never will see that money,
That is why I agree with you every asset of Madoff's should be used to pay back the investors. And Nadal here in Sarasota is in the same prison in New York right now. Both liars, cheaters and the penalty for crimes like this where people's life saving are wiped out should be the severest of all crimes comparable to murder... in my opinion,

Nothing was done to prosecute the people in charge although the investment counselor who put us all in this committed suicide.

And the story never made the headlines but a lot of money was lost. All stolen on fraud....

Madoff's only remaining personal expenses for the rest of his life should be a tombstone.

It is insane to think Ruth Madoff, his brother and his sons and families can walk away from this destruction with anything more than the clothes on their backs.

Who is paying the Madoff lawyers?
