Yes, but so what? As long as what's produced is consumed there is no need to really store it...a grid tied system is the simplest installation...in it the power company ideally serves as a producer/buffer. It buys and distributes excess power, serving a load balancing function, and produces its own, since solar is unlikely to ever produce 100% of need.
