Haim, my memory could be wrong, but Mexico peso (and stocks) did not start tanking until late (like December) 1994, by which time Hurricane Greenspan has already swirled a pretty wide swath of 250 basis points. By February of 1995, Greenspan raised for the last time, and the Tequila Effect was in full blown in our southern backyards.

Funny how these emerging markets blow-ups are given pathological nicknames. "Asian Flu," "Tequila Effect", etc.
