Jack, If I might just say one thing in response to a portion of your post. YES! To everything you have stated in your third paragraph. Man can do all those things if he has the faith. Unfortunately 99.999999% Chistians or anyone else doesn't have the faith or knows the right way to pray to achive those goals and objectives. There is a very clear and definiate order (proceedure) that one must follow to get the response to a prayer that one is looking for. There are instruction on how to pray and if done properly one can achive most if not all the things that you have mentioned. Man even has the ability to walk on water if one follows the instructions.
