It's quite provocative to be hit in the face with the thought that this country could actually implode. I think it takes time to sink in and realize how close we are to a meltdown.

Most just think the US will recover slowly like we have done before in other recessions. A depression is unthinkable until you know people who have hit bottom through no fault of their own.

I hear the words," Just wait it out and it will recover like it did before".

When people realize that recovery isn't a certainty then this beast starts to grow legs.

If we do recover slowly then you'll be fine..............if we don't, then you are prepared.

That's a good strategy when dealing with the unknown and survival will be in question.
