Syquest Short Interest

Short interest increased 40% month over month on SYQT from September to October.

Sept: 4303265
Oct: 6061583

Either someone's very right or someone's very wrong. We'll see.

The funny thing about this stock with the huge volume they experienced this past month, is that there were 60 MM shares O/S and just about that much traded. So, would it be fair to say that all the old holders of SYQT stock bailed, dumping the stock on the uninitiated and naive?

Considering that the preferred shares of SYQT gave holders the option to sell the stock at any time for no less than $3.06 per share, could it be that they were selling to lock in a profit?

Gary: First we need to ascertain if it was filed in the San Jose or San Francisco Division of U.S.D.C. No. Cal. Then, they probably have a Pacer system or some type of computer access. You're looking for a document probably called "Plaintiff's Complaint for Declaratory Judgment" or "Complaint for Declaratory Relief" or something like that. If it was filed Friday, it's probably not on Lexis yet. I have a service I use there to obtain documents if necessary and they fax them to me. It's probably a multi-page document - 20 pages or more possibly.
