Jeepers, invest like a cat on the WSJ. We must be nearing a bottom, the nuttiness is all around us.

AIG: government ownership, government payscale.

Starting Monday...surprise! This is what happens in a capitalistic system when your corporation implodes around you even if you had nothing to do with it as most AIG employees did not.

Them thar's the breaks for us all and AIG has received billions more in breaks than we have. I believe these are the correct numbers.

AIG bailout: $170 B so far
AIG employees: 125,000-105,000

AIG bailout per employee: $1.4 - 1.6 million

What?

Fuck Reich. He gets it 180 degrees wrong, and tries to use the continuing AIG debacle to bolster the argument for more entities being brought under the 'sheltering wing' of Washington, DC. "...why the government should take over any institution that's "too big to fail"...

At this point, even folks that rode the short bus to school realize that AIG should have been allowed to fail. (And absolutely any other company, no exceptions.)

What a dimwit. Ours is a Republic, not a democracy.

Our democracy is seriously broken.
