your post removes all doubt regarding the wrongs of your take

about the impact here, there, everywhere of what is reverberating everywhere, there, and here

- the center of the disease is in usa, the cure is the next disease, and with the middle class wiped out, ignorance will graduate from heavily influence to absolutely rule, from which nothing good can possibly result, other than tranquility and peace to those deserving

- in asia, diligence heavy, politically savvy, savings wealthy, capital plenty, just a hiccup of a down turn, nothing more, and actually a blessed hiccup, because of price rebalance

regarding trade

- when usa cannot afford socks and bras, and needs to compete against passenger planes made in asia and europe on price, game over

about devolution to agriculture as a standby backstop

- forget about it, that durection is and always will be a blind alley in this day and age, obvious to the most casual of passing observers flying by on ufo

particlar to the cantonese, even during the cultural revolution

- they mostly do not follow orders, especially from beijing
- that is how deng xiao ping survived the revolution, by keeping company with righteous people who do not follow orders as part of genetic disposition

the nature of hong kong

- hk can vote with its capital via i-banking in whatever amounts necessary in fractions of moments, leaving behind an empty shell of a financial center

- no forms to fill, no permission to seek, and certainly no gating to contend with

- that is why hk is the freest on this planet in this galaxy within this universe at this and long times past

regarding hk's vulnerability to global trade flows

- hk is infinitely flexible, and even if trade should come to complete stop, say, and agriculture reign supreme, let's suppose, the flexibility of hk will simply engender folks of this island to take charge of farms elsewhere, by any and all means, and do whatever is in alignment with the force

all is easier when there is true freedom and genuine voting

let us watch and brief

cheers, tj

One interesting thing about the Cantonese... They (along with the Hakka) ARE the Chinese of the world outside PRC and maybe Taiwan. My concern is my country's (Canada) dependence upon the US... and with the large % of Chinese we have ... that is a shame.. Heck it's a shame with the huge % of south Asians we have..
