Aussie buddy is in trouble. There are not ANY single country that has a long term strategy. There are not a single country that has a short term strategy. There aren't ANY single country that even understand what they are dealing with. Rich countries are wasting their money trying to salvage what is not salvageable and not worth the effort either. Decades fo bad economic policies cannot be dealt away in a couple of years. Wherever I look I can see only short term solutions that takes care of the next three months only.
