That is being discussed. I strongly suspect that will happen to some degree. In addition, there are rumblings about opening fraud investigations. And there are reasons to think that might be viable, the CDS's were, in essence, a promise to pay up if certain conditions happened. Those conditions happened. AIG, amongst others, didn't have the resources to pay up. So they were raking in the bucks based on false promises. If this gets any legs, well, there are plenty of other companies it could suck in. AIG was hardly alone, although they were the biggest player.

None of which probably would have been on the table if it wasn't for those bonuses.
