Ike - There are quality tech stocks at reasonably attractive prices now, but fear is overriding TA and FA in the near-term.

For instance TXN looks solid on forward earnings but uncertainty over DRAM pricing and the Asian DRAM manufacturers having declining revenues is putting a pall on things. Technically TXN has a gap to fill at 100-102 which is not too far off. If one can weather a drawdown one could start taking partial positions (shares) and average down if need be. For options, it would be prudent to let the stock base and turn up and then catch 80 percent of the ride up. Why not let the stock tell you where the bottom is ... foregoing the first 10 percent up is cheap insurance to prevent eroding time value.

In the semis and semi equip sectors, momentum is down now. Earnings warnings, declining margins, analyst downgrades, Barron's article, external events ... let the scenario finish. Technical damage takes time to repair, and then fundamentals will be the driving factor again.
