Again, $650B is a really bad estimate of the cost of Iraq. We have a $10-12B per month burn rate in Iraq. If you just do the math, there have been 71 months since the war started. We started the build up at least 4 months in advance, so that's 75 months at that burn rate. That means we've spent anywhere from $750-900B. Then add to that all the veterans benefits for seriously traumatized returning soldiers, the lost wages and economic benefit from these wounded, dead, and PTSD soldiers and I guarantee you the cost of this war is well over $1 trillion.

Again, Bush increased our debt by $5 trillion, 20% of which was the Iraq war. Most of that increase in debt went towards tax cuts for the rich. It was the biggest larceny of the American people in history and the biggest program of redistribution of wealth from the 99% to the 1% in the history of the US.

No one is fooled anymore. No one is buying the GOP lies anymore.
