She doesn't have to pay for it. I believe in BC the have free mental health counselling. Why she just attacks people and offer non sequitur replies is very childish and a person in charge of the faculties would recognize how silly it appears. It is more than an anger management problem as you allude. It appears she was not properly prepared for life and will do anything to avoid facing reality. You are right though. Maybe for the good of her boys, she may consider therapy. She does seem to care very much for them.
