Emile, it is not distorted. Too many of our true Christian brothers have been killed by apostates who burned them with their Bibles on stakes. God has preserved his writing in the face of bitter persecution especially by those who claim to be christian. There were only a handfull of Christians who preserved in word and deed the true essence of Christianity and God holds these dear. I will never defend the blood stained hands of christendom and the so called christian nations who have murdered millions in the name of God.

God deserves all the credit, and not those apostates who kept his word from the masses of humanity. This generation is the worst to date, no doubt. That is why we need an accurate understanding of the Kingdom from the book that God inspired and preserved. It is only that Kingdom that will bring an end to wickedness. By your own admition this generation is worst than all that preceded it, we still need God's Kingdom.

But who today differentiate themselves from the wicked nations? The first century Christians remained neutral to the world as loyal subjects of the heavenly Kingdom, and they were saved from the destruction of Jerusalem that Jesus prophesied. Who will be saved from the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecies of the last days when he comes as a heavenly King and crushes the worlds governments? Will it be those who are already saved? and don't need the kingdom. Or will it be those who remained awake and not caught off gaurd by false reasonings? Those who remained in expectation as christ admonished us to do. Only God's Kingdom can solve our problems permanently.

Emile, I am not protestant, nor do I support current protestant beliefs. The churches that grew out of the Protestant movement have adopted the same God dishonoring pagan practices and beliefs. The good that came out of that period was the making of God's Word readily available to all. "The Word of God is alive and exerts power...". If we lived in the Dark ages and were caught discussing these issues both of us would have been condemned to death by the Church. 'You know a tree by its fruits.' The Church cannot be the instrument of God, they have done everything they could to keep God from the people. Why? Because God's Kingdom stands opposed to their teachings.

My beliefs are frimly founded in scripture and not the tachings of the Church Fathers. Only those of the first century which have nothing to do with the Church.
