The AG of NY needs to issue subpoenas for the contracts and payment details of the bonuses. How in the world do you have information he doesn't?

Yes, I know....

(And, as I've already posted today --- although they are contractually required to be paid out --- that may not be the final word.)

For example, the CEO can suggest that the bonuses be 'voluntarily' returned --- (and those who do not can have their employment terminated). Good luck to any derivative trader in finding a job in today's market with the letters "AIG" on his resume.... :-)

I understand that the A.G. in NY is also going after the bonuses --- claiming they were 'fraudulently conveyed' because *at the time they were approved* AIG (absent bail-out money yet to arrive) might have had a NEGATIVE NET WORTH. In other words: they did not have the money to pay any bonuses and so the bonuses represent an attempt to loot the company.

Etc.
