I'm not real thrilled with the NRA at this point. They are not doing anything I think they should be doing and this is but one example.

We had a guy in the southern part of the state who was planting trees in his yard in the country while wearing a sidearm exposed. While we don't have concealed carry in WI we do have a right to open carry. Well this made the guys neighbor nervous so he called the police to see if what his neighbor was doing was legal. Now this is in the country not a big city. Anyhow two county guys show up and arrest him for disturbing the peace and some other made up charges. This guy had to fight this all the way through the court system and the NRA wouldn't lift a finger. When he finally got before the judge, the judge read the charges and then looked at the prosecutors and two Barney Fifes and said tell me exactly what he did to warrant these charges. After some hemming and hawing the judge threw them all out and read a riot act to the 3 stooges. Told them all they should learn state law if they are going to try and enforce it. But the NRA wouldn't touch it and he is a life member of the NRA.

He has several pro gun attorney's from around the country right now that want to handle his law suit however.
