Unfortunately the pension rights of all individuals have been deemed property in most states by the courts and the only portion of a pension you can lose it that portion that you earned after it can be proven you committed a particular crime or proven you were involved in the criminal activity.

In some states a conviction of a heinous crime is enough to end the pension and have the portion of money you paid into that account returned to you.

In the case of Peterson, he may lose his pension if they can prove he murdered one or more of his wives and/or if at the time he murdered someone he hadn't accrued enough time for a full pension.

No, I am no Peterson. What an awful thing to say to somebody.
You had better get right with your God.

Peace
