Thomas endured a grueling confirmation process over allegations that he sexually harassed a former staffer of his, Anita Hill, who testified during the Senate hearings. And who was thoroughly discredited. While they're going over past history why not also mention that they found no evidence of the charges and the whole thing was most likely ginned up to throw a wrench in his confirmation. Oh, and don't forget to relate the the stellar performance of ole Joe Bided who gave a new definition to the expression "back stabber".
