They had decided that conversations about political topics were forbidden one week each year within the entire village.

Even on privet property.

They arrested me for collecting petition signatures.

I was being paid to collect them.

So they denied me the ability to earn money. And they did so in violation of my civil rights.

The ACLU was happy to take the case. They wish to make an example out of the village.
