Not a petty picture emerging! It is clear we have a third war on our hands and the illegal drug market is destroying the Civil society both in Mexico and in US cities..and not unlike Mexico elements of the US government(s) are complicit! This in combination with the disgust and anger by ordinary people at the theft and greed resulting in the implosion of the financial system could become the perfect storm leading to the disintegration both of nation states into chaos. My first view from Mexico is/was that the previous US administration(s) with its 8 years of unwritten policies to neuter government while looting the Treasury for personal gain sent a signal to a quite a few bad apples in these various government departments to go for it/take a piece of the Drug Trade(which is arguably the largest single business on this continent and with no taxes to be paid)! But Maybe not so far fetched: My concurrent view is that the Neo cons at the very top led by the VP may well have deliberately facilitated even is some cases initiated actions in order to create disorder and soften Mexico up for joining the American Union which puts the US's Military-Northern command in Control as part of the Neo con strategy of ruling the world.
