It sounds like the United States et al. has persuaded the rest of the economic world (G-20, IMF) to inflate all currencies simultaneously. I wonder how long it will take for normal velocity to come back. That could easily overshoot into a competition to hedge against the inflation that has been started.

Look at it this way: it's a whole lot better than a nuclear war. And individuals actually have a chance at protecting themselves against it, though most won't.

Sometimes I wonder what I would do if I really had more money than I could spend at home. I guess I would spend it on flying first class to Prague, Paris, Rome, Florence, etc. and staying in four-star hotels. But that would be after I had bought into a luxurious place to die.
