It is no coincidence that the top two recipients of campaign funds from AIG were (1) Chris Dodd and (2) Barack Obama.

If these were Rs you would be giving them hell; but it doesn't bother you one bit when it is two crooked liberals.

It is time to give it up. Obama's presidency is collapsing into one big pile of corruption.

So I take it YOU think Bush is a socialist... since he did the majority of the buying?

OK, Bush is a socialist as well, so what?

AIG would be long gone if the government hadn't stepped in... as well as the majority of the world's large banks and many other institutions.

I don't think you guys realize how close we came to total economic collapse. And I mean total.

If AIG survives or not isn’t really the issue. The issue is what is good for our economy. A company which cannot succeed should fail. Sure a government can throw cash at it and keep it going. But how is that good for the economy? Any gains you get from continued business and cash flow from the loans are offset by the increase in the government’s long term debt. If they had failed then it would have gone bankrupt and the good parts would be sold to other companies, or they would have been spared a lot of debt and reorganized. Those parts sold would be making money for others or they would be recovering from the bankruptcy plan.
