I don't believe I have the requisite accounting knowledge to figure this out and I rather doubt if you do, either. I would think I would be a lot closer than you are, and I can tell you I'm not anywhere close to being able to ascertain even what AIG's exposure is, let alone the potential for problems that would be caused within our economy by it. And neither is anyone else who is posting on this thread. But it is obvious that AIG is going to exaggerate their own importance in a document such as this.
