Over a longer-term I am not pessimistic about US economic prospects at all.

Considering demographic factors (and national indebtedness...), Europe and Japan's prospects are much poorer then America's are....

(And while several of the BRICs may be expected to advance significantly... there is no denying that each has it's own unique and long list of problems to overcome.)

I like our prospects versus the 'competition'.

As for the Dollar --- one of the more insightful remarks that I have heard recently compared the Dollar to "the best house in a really bad neighborhood".

A lot of truth in that I think.
