TO ALL; anyone know anything about MIS INT'L (BB:MISM)? The stock has
moved from .18 to .45 within the last three weeks. Friday, with the
DOW down 132pts, this little puppy was up .125 to .45 cents on high
volume (very large spread, however) Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ken

(wow, this is supposed to follow your post 1177, but standard time put this behind yours)

Ga Bard,

Nobody has implied that FAMH is a scam, but there was some concern raised in a previous post (not by you) that some "pump and dumpers" were involved.

When I called the investment banking firm for FAMH on Friday, I was told that the shares being put on the market, which is what has increased the float to 7,000,000, was a 504 financing. I see this as the company selling the shares, with the investment banking firm drumming up customers for the 504 financing.

Anyway, just wanted to clear these two things up.

David

p.s. I appreciate your viewpoints, and I have learned a lot from your posts. But when I place my orders, it is ALWAYS based on my own determination of the merits. I always will take full responsibility for my actions, and would always recommend that all do the same.

I am cautious of IPOs because they general fall once they come public.

I tend to stay away from them too, because as you say they do tend to fall. Most go up real fast for a day or so or open higher than what the IPO is for, then drop evan faster.

Here is why. A Brokerage house makes the IPO and presales at a given price to his big investors, freinds, etc. Then opening day the price jumps as people want in. Then guess what, all those big investors start selling on a rising price. They do it slow though in small blocks so the price is not effected to much untill the very end then it falls like a rock. Normally ending up below the orginial IPO price.

So how do you make the best money off IPO's. Find a full service discount broker that will let you buy into the IPO's that their compnay is doing. Then sell to the rise in the first days of trading.

Just my 1/2 cents worth (still asleep so give discounts)

Carl
