Make no mistake, the (R)s are jumping on it because they want to hurt Obama politically.

Had it been President McCain who signed onto this, the (R)s would be arguing for keeping contractual commitments, etc. Then the "you shut up" conservatives would be saying that this is just an "obsession over $165M," and the hypocritical liberals would be having an absolute cow.
