then the courts will overrule it in the end. We are getting protectionist and populist backlashes that are understandable albeit not desirable. These motivations need to be controlled but we cant prevent going thru a phase like this. People are really pissed off. They have lost homes, jobs, health care and 401ks and most of the time thru little fault of their own. CNBC guest and nobel winner said as much this morning re protectionism. We are going to have to live thru this period and hope for moderation. Hopefully something like this could be stopped in the senate.

In what way? Congress pretty routinely passes legislation with a set of conditions that single out a small group or even an individual for special treatment.

Personally, I think this is stupid. Because it will wind up in court and waste time. It will be interesting if it is declared unconstitutional, though.
