he misquoted me. The full text of my question was as follows:

And an even more important question is why would we want an economy that grows faster and gets even larger than it is today, if 99% of that new wealth goes to the top 1%?


My point is that if we build an economy and country that largely only benefit the top 1%, then the American Dream of class mobility and opportunity for everyone is dead. Remember a growing economy is a good thing for Americans, only if it helps most Americans, not if it is funneled only to the rich and powerful. That's what dictatorships like Saudi Arabia are all about...making sure all the wealth is enjoyed by the royal family, instead of the people.
