It only folks in Iraq a few months to tear down all of their public reminders of Saddam Hussein. Why should Americans be any slower to respond?

Has anyone see Bush lately? It's amazing. It is as if he never existed.

He was everywhere all the time and then, after the inauguration it's as if he dropped off the face of the earth. Rice was on Charlie Rose but, otherwise, the remnants Bush administration are pretty quiet.

"Has anyone see Bush lately? It's amazing. It is as if he never existed."

There's a concerted effort on the part of the (R)'s not to mention him, and Bush himself seems perfectly happy to disappear.

Jon Stewart on the Daily Show a while back pointed out that an (R) rep, talking about former presidents, referred to Bush as, "he who was president when the towers fell", after calling other presidents out by their NAMES!

Not that any of the rest of us really want to think about the guy.

He's on HBO. He's got his own special. It ran last night.

Oh he's still around, speechifying.

I think it says something that Slate still runs "Bushism of the Day".

Here's a recent one--

"I'm going to put people in my place, so when the history of this administration is written at least there's an authoritarian voice saying exactly what happened."—On what he hopes to accomplish with his memoir, as reported by the Associated Press, Calgary, Canada, March 17, 2009
