won't be compatible with the newer versions so we have to buy newer versions.

If this is true, then it's crazy, and whomever plans to upgrade is crazy. Does the administrator have any propelling reason for the upgrade (what features are worth it?) and yo might go as far as asking, how much is the administrator paid by microsucks (or what secrets are they holding against him/her?)

Best Wishes for this Noble Effort,

Our hardest challenge is to educate the Dilbert bosses. Our
fortune 500 company has just got rid of all their Macs is becoming
a total Microsloth company. I'm in severe pain. This thing called
NT is SCARY and should not be allowed the status of operating
ANYTHING.

This industry is run by total idiots who have no technical knowledge.
Would you like your hospitals run by people who have no clue of
medicine?

And it is only going to get worse:

Hi Tom, To render its products backward incompatible with their previous versions has been Microsoft's MO since its inception, long before Gemtop . . . er . . . Windows was a twinkle in BG's eyes. Holly D. www.exchange2000.com/~wsapi/investor/profiles
