Those were certainly some of the reasons, no denying them, but there were other reasons such as the Gramm-Bliley-Leach Act, repeal of Glass-Steagal, Bush's push for the Ownership Society, and the enormous debts run up during Republican Administrations. So combine that with your article and we start to see the big, complete picture. It was a bipartisan failure.
