My desire to see AIG simply fail might not be very pragmatic, and I realize that. I'm not a complete advocate for doing nothing, either, but I always maintain that doing nothing is still a viable option. The reason why I take a seemingly wishy-washy stance is not to be cryptic and inscrutable. Instead, it is to point out that there are like a thousand ways "doing something" can be worse than doing nothing, and only a handful of ways that "doing something" will actually turn out to be better. Bottom line: If we're going to do something, *let's do it RIGHT. Or don't do it at all.* If our elected and appointed officials can't seem to do anything right, then doing nothing starts to look better and better every day. Tenchusatsu
