<<the world doesn't actually need any more gold>>

you are absolutely correct.

- the world should shut down all gold mines
- the world does not need any more gold
- the world should pray for own salvation, and seek redemption by way of just more expensive gold

the gold denigrators are only doing harm to self and family, by refusing to jump to the last chapter of the script, take a peek, and adjust their actions going forward ever so dramatically, to replace yield-less excess capital with gold, and exchange interest-free surplus savings with platinum

at some awful juncture, the children, once they understand, will ask, "but grandpa, why didn't you just buy gold?"

and, after a moment of silence, the simple truth, "because i was as thick as a putrid whale sandwich in the cat's litter box placed under the hot sun on the really hot sidewalk"

oh well, no matter, more fun in the market lounge
