a) "Stimulus" bill consisting of huge giveaways to Democrat lawmakers and friends, at a time when we really can't afford that.

This is pure unsubstantiated non sense...the stimulus does not favor democrats over republicans and if there are instances in which it does than blame republicans who opposed it almost unanimously. Your own governator is very good evidence of one type and South Carolina's governor and others like him is pretty good proof of the opposite kind.

None are that major, and yes, governing through a recession is serious business, but that doesn't mean I can't demand excellence from our leaders.

I would have been fooled by the frequent sarcastic nature of your posts. The rest of your post is the reason I called you pretentious...you can't possibly know that your position is correct at this time.

>a) "Stimulus" bill consisting of huge giveaways to Democrat lawmakers and friends, at a time when we really can't afford that.

Huh? Every state got it unless they turned it down. You may not agree with Keynesian economics, but that's all it is.

>b) Rushing on the faulty premise that we have to act quickly to prevent a "crisis from turning into a catastrophe." This whole AIG flap is just a small sample of what happens.

Had to. Things really would've come down if that didn't happen. Unfortunate, but true.

>c) Trying to squeeze too many items into the first 100 days. That smacks of pure PR. Andy Grove said it best: Concentrate on one problem at a time.

There are so many terrible problems that need to be fixed! Besides, the government has many, many departments for a reason. Why wouldn't you use them?

>d) Targeting people who don't follow along the party line, such as Rush, Cramer, and Santelli. Pure distractionary politics. That's "change" we can believe in?

Huh? Weren't they targeting him? And, yes, Obama made fun of Rush a little. But what the heck did Obama and his administration do to Cramer and Santelli? Last time I checked, Jon Stewart did not hold a cabinet post in the Obama administration.

Such as? It's gotta be HUGE, remember.

"Trying to squeeze too many items into the first 100 days."

Ask Ronald Reagan.
