What's to defend. You level baseless accusation and want to draw me in a silly he said she said without information. What I know comes from what I have read, and from listening to government officials, including Paulson. What you know comes from where? a) "Stimulus" bill consisting of huge giveaways to Democrat lawmakers and friends, at a time when we really can't afford that. OK...I have responded to this. It's not true. b) Rushing on the faulty premise that we have to act quickly to prevent a "crisis from turning into a catastrophe." This whole AIG flap is just a small sample of what happens. How many times do we have to go over this he said she said silliness? What proof do you have that the economy would not have collapsed if AIG was allowed to fail? What did Paulson not know that you seem to be so certain of? c) Trying to squeeze too many items into the first 100 days. That smacks of pure PR. Andy Grove said it best: Concentrate on one problem at a time. OK...you are faulting the man for trying too hard? What's to defend? d) Targeting people who don't follow along the party line, such as Rush, Cramer, and Santelli. Pure distractionary politics. That's "change" we can believe in?
