Senior executives on both sides of the Atlantic on Friday warned of an exodus of talent from some of the biggest names in US finance,

Where are they going to go? A lot of these guys are counter-jumping bank clerks who should be busy making change for depositors but instead are rearranging deck chairs on the "USS USA," thinking that they are "Masters of the Universe." They dream they are directing the ship. They help direct it all right. On to the rocks.

Think of this financial panic as a river. We are all down at the end of the stream, tasting the toxic waste in it. The Pols, who control the headwaters, and started the toxicity, are blaming the downstream financial pollutors who took advantage of the headstream disaster to add to the problem.

The Pols only hope is to blame it all on them. The financial types are an easy target. Setting their in their Hampton houses wearing their "Ralph Lauren Purple Label" suits and "John Lobb" shoes. All "New Yorkers." That's enough to make people in flyover country "get a rope."
