Important points for those that dare to think something similar could happen to them:

If you want to buy food, you need gold and not Zimbabwe notes (not that surprising). The people with the food are charging 4X the "going" rate. Essentially the POG is suppressed and the price of food is inflated (at least in remote locations).

So food is the #1 and gold is number #2 because you can't eat it...
